A city man was charged Friday with two counts each of auto burglary and possession of burglary tools, police said in a news release.

Bobby Casey, 18, Rock House Road, was arrested after an investigation of a suspicious vehicle reported in the area of Paty Drive and Red Fern Circle, police said.

According to the incident report, two men were seen wearing black hoodies as they drove a 1999 gold Toyota Sienna around to numerous parked vehicles in order to check the door handles.

Police said they discovered the minivan unoccupied and found Casey hiding behind the corner of a house on Red Fern Circle with a large screwdriver, gloves, cash, a red wallet, a prescription bottle and several GPS and XM satellite radio units in his bag.

Casey was being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $22,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday at 1:30 p.m.
